Communications professional with over twenty years of experience. I have designed and implemented comprehensive communications strategies for elected officials, trade associations, and non-profit advocacy groups.

 

Creating a successful communications plan is process that starts with developing a message that says who you are and why your work is important. Then my work focuses on taking that message to key audiences through media outreach, planing and publicizing events, creating marketing materials, generating content for social media platforms, speech writing, and media training. 

This has resulted in over 4,000 pieces of earned media coverage from outlets such as the Associated Press, New York Times, FOX News, The Washington Post, ESPN, Time, CNN, and The Guardian. Working with outlets at the local, state, national, and international level I have developed a comprehensive list of media contacts.

For over a decade, I have created content for social media and paid advertisements. These efforts have enabled organiations to boost social media followers by 30% and increase website traffic by 10%. With an increased online presence organizations have been able to achieve their legislative priorities, grow their online base, and exceed fundraising goals.

In addition to communications work, I have managed or been a senior advisor to successful political campaigns and lobbying efforts at the state and local level. I have worked with candidates or legislative coalitions in New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, South Dakota, Texas, and New Mexico.
